What is the types and functions of self-adhesive custom print labels or stickers?
I believe everyone has heard of and used custom print logo self-adhesive stickers or labels, which have a very wide range of applications, such as food packaging, advertising, and other functions. The custom print labels pressure sensitive paper is a composite material made of paper, film, or special materials, with adhesive coated on the back, and silicon coated paper as protective paper. After printing, die-cutting, and other processing, the printed sticker becomes a finished label printing. When applying, simply peel off the backing paper and lightly press it to attach to the surface of various substrates, or use a labeling machine to automatically label on the production line.
There are also many types of materials for stickers: according to their surface materials, they can be divided into paper, film, and special materials. Paper materials are divided into five types based on surface glossiness: high gloss, semi high gloss, matte, metallized, and specialty paper. Thin film materials of the factory print logo stickers are divided into five types based on transparency: transparent, semi transparent, opaque, metallized, and special materials.
Composition of the self-adhesive stickers:
1. Surface material. It is the carrier of the adhesive label content, and the adhesive is applied on the back of the face paper. There are many materials that can be used for surface materials, generally including coated paper, transparent polyvinyl chloride, electrostatic polyvinyl chloride, polyester, laser paper, temperature resistant paper, polypropylene, polycarbonate, kraft paper, fluorescent paper, gold-plated paper, silver plated paper, synthetic paper, aluminum foil paper, fragile (anti-counterfeiting) paper, Meiwen paper, fabric label (Tavik/nylon) paper, pearl paper, sandwich coated paper, and thermal paper.
2. Film material. Transparent polyester, semi transparent polyester, transparent oriented polypropylene, semi transparent oriented polypropylene, transparent polyvinyl chloride, glossy white polyvinyl chloride, matte white polyvinyl chloride, synthetic paper, glossy gold (silver) polyester, matte gold (silver) polyester.
3. Adhesive. Universal super stick, universal strong stick, refrigerated food strong stick, universal re open, fiber re open. On the one hand, it ensures a moderate adhesion between the base paper and the surface paper, and on the other hand, it ensures that the surface paper can be peeled off and have strong adhesion with the adhesive.
4. Base paper material. Release paper, commonly known as “backing paper”, has a low surface energy and is non adhesive. The backing paper has a isolating effect on the adhesive, so it is used as an attachment for the top paper to ensure that the top paper can easily peel off from the backing paper. Commonly used are white, blue, and yellow grazin paper or garlic paper, kraft paper, polyester, coated paper, and polyethylene.
